Thanks for joining me!
As the late renowned chef and traveler Anthony Bourdain said, “If I am an advocate for anything, it is to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food. It’s a plus for everybody.”

22nd August 2018
I visited Japan for the first time in Dec 2017. This country has been on my list for ages, but it was only due to an airline-mandated layover, enroute to Vietnam, that finally brought me here. I loved everything about it…the food, how well dressed and well-mannered everyone was. I got a kick out of people constantly bowing to me. A girl could get used to that ! LOL!
It was during this visit, that the idea of traveling and teaching English fully solidified in my mind as a real option of what to do, in my life after corporate. I spent a lot of time ruminating, writing and talking to fellow travelers, many of whom had also recently turned their lives on its head…by the time the new year came, I had made up my mind. Fast forward to August 2018…in 2 weeks time, after 6 months of feverishly working on my teaching certificate, getting my house rented, packing up a good portion of my belongings and selling my Fiat (sniff, sniff), I will now embark upon a grand adventure…
