Spent the morning trying to find a longer-term place to rent in Porto, to no avail. Apparently the city is having a moment and is overrun with tourists. I’ve managed to sort myself two different Airbnbs until Monday, by then I will have to come up with plan B. I did have 1 really bright spot today…I wandered down this random, but pretty tree-lined street and discovered this funky bar. Wacky doesn’t cover it!!

The is an old car mounted to 1 wall, another has a urinal within a frame, another with multiple electric guitars. Several tall curio cabinets displaying old dolls, toy cars and trucks, an assortment of old tins and jars and a host of other oddities, line two other walls and behind the expansive bar. Oh, there’s a giant Sylvester, holding Tweety bird by the throat and a trumpet in the other on the actual bar! It was fun and bizarre and I loved it! They also played really good music, like Aretha, Marvin Al and I also discovered another new cocktail…Porto Tonico!
