Leaving Thailand tomorrow for Cambodian and the temples of Angkor. I miss Pai terribly…the past 2 weeks has been some of the most fun, chilled out, yet life affirming weeks I’ve spent yet! Met some great people, spent days roaming around town, doing yoga, trying to meditate and taking the initial steps in trying to heal my heart from all the years of abuse that I’ve put myself through. Step 1: GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND INTO YOUR BODY!
Most nights were spent at Edible Jazz, this great little bar where musicians can jam for whoever wants to listen. For those of you that know me well, you must be chuckling, knowing how much I love live music. It was absolute bliss, words cannot even express how simply and peacefully happy I was.
And last, but not least, I got up on stage and participated in a duet at the request of a mate who’s birthday it was! One thing has become increasingly clear to me on this trip overall…I need more music in my life and I don’t mean buying new music, I mean playing music…guitar is coming out of storage as soon as I get back to SF and it will travel with me going forward. Oh, and I better sign up for some lessons asap since I haven’t played in years!
